Department of Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy has a rich collection of valuable books in the Departmental Library as well as in the Central Library. The Department has a steady flow of students. Every year we organize departmental student's Seminar, publish yearly wall-magazine 'Dishari' with the help of our students and we also organize a parent-teacher meet every year, though response of guardians are inadequate. At present though the department has an adverse student' teacher ratio (i.e. shortage of teaching staff) we are trying to pursue quality teaching by creating meaning and relevance in teaching learning situation with limited resources. If there is a whole hearted cooperation among the students and the teachers an educational tour can be arranged with departmental students also.

We have a library and computer facility in our department . We also have launched our departmental website. Through Google search engine students can know the detailed information about the department . Keeping in mind the moral and mental development of our student we allow them to organise various cultural programs. Educational excursion is being organised every year by the students under the able guidance and supervision of teachers . Besides those facilities we ensure our students to maintain proper balance between three major areas of student development. Academic Career Personal /Social
Our mission is to prepare students to become capable and responsible. we help our students to develop their educational, social ,emotional, career and personal strength. There is a commitment to maximize individual uniqueness and the development of human potential .Students will acquired the skills to develop knowledge of self-awareness and to make appropriate career decision. The department provides one to one counselling in addition to regular group counselling training programs and seminar for students to get self-awareness, life skills and overall development with positive mental health. It also helps our students to get rid of fear, anxiety, obsession ,depression, suicidal ideation and addiction of various types.
